FS 01 BMW M5 (CPO WAR. Til 10/06)
2001 M5 Silverstone / Black Sport Leather / Shadow Chrome Trim
The mileage is at 43,115
It is under CPO warranty until October 2006
The clutch seems to be in great shape but I have never had clutch issues in any of my cars. I am really fanatical about proper clutch techniques.
As for accidents I can say with confidence that all the body panels are original and have had no repair. Before I purchased the car I had German Technologies Inc. inspect the car for previous damage and none was found three different technicians inspected the car. I used them because they have restored two cars for me in the past and they specialize in German autos and some euro exotics.
I had German Tech Paint the front third of the car to take care of some rock chips that came from small to medium rocks flying off of a flatbed semi on I-240 in OKC. They use German paint matched by shooting test sheets they even match the factory orange peel. They also warranty their work for ten years witch is uncommon in the paint and body industry. They also replaced the front windshield at the same time with a BMW OEM part. Feel free to call the owner of GTI Dan Butts at 817-540-0712.
I feel that 98% of people out there would not even be able to tell it has been paint I just like to be up front about the history of the car.
I have a print out from BMW of all the previous work completed here is a list:
Low mile oil service
Recall
1200 mile inspection
Headlight adjustment
Front Brakes
LCD Cluster
Selector lever ****
Oil service
Brake fluid service
Airbag Recode
Windshield
Front cup holder
Wheel Emblem
Intake Mufflers
Navigation Unit
Camshaft adjustment unit
Sunroof Slides
VANOS dampener upgrade
The repairs I have had completed:
Fuel door lock actuator and module
Both rear window regulators
Firewall cover
Thermostat
Oil service
Concentrate washer pump
On 6-23-06 at 42,645 miles:
Oil service with Micro Filters
Brake fluid service
The wheels would need some refinishing to be perfect but the original finish is not very durable and the dealer had them touched up before I bought the car. Needless to say the touch up was not up to GTI standers so there you go. There is no curb rash and they are straight as of the last balancing.
The M5 is loaded with standard features
There are very few options my car has:
Sport Seats (all black)
Extended Leather
Rear side and head curtain air bags
It has all the standard features that are listed at this link: Standard Features & Specs and another more detail M5board Features & Specs
Asking $33,800

Talk to your dealer. My father had an M5 for a while, and the finish on his wheels went to hell. He was able to get the BMW to refinish them for nothing. It was a service bulletin, recall, or something. These are great cars, by the way. You are going to miss it!

35 k is an awesome deal for this beast. I have not checked prices recently but last year that car was a 50k plus car. If I had not bought my 01 540 6 speed last year I would jump on this car. My 540 has more low end torque than my 993 and I cant imagine what the M feels like. Hopefully it goes to a fellow rennlister.
