Folks, the original contest was just too complicated and participation was tough. After some head scratching it was decided that a do-over was the best solution. So, here is a new contest which will be much easier for all of you. This contest is restricted to Members, so if you aren't now would be a good time to join.

It works like this:

1) Take a picture of your Porsche making sure that the wheel or wheels are visible. Admire your picture and think how nice you car would look with a new set of Fikses! The prize is a new set of Fikse Wheels with a value of up to $5,000 US.

2) Post your picture to this thread and to your album. If you don't have one, create one. Access to the albums is dead easy. Click on the word Albums in the task bar at the top of every page. If you can't find it - well, JUST CLICK HERE..!!!

3) The album will accept pictures up to about 3 megabytes!! Make the photo in the album high quality, there is room for great shots.

4) Make sure the album photo includes EXIF data. This is standard on digital cameras and the albums have been structured not to strip the EXIF data. Why you ask? Easy, the EXIF data will prove that the photo was taken within the contest period. Simple no? Unless you have very unusual settings on your camera, EXIF data is always included with the picture. Pictures posted to this thread have them removed by the site but NOT in the Albums.

5) The photo has to be taken within the contest period which begins with the notice today and ends at 5 PM Pacific Time on October 22nd.

6) Pictures will be judged for quality and artistic merit by IB staff. Don't bother sending bribes to Mods and Admins, we aren't part of the judging.

7) The winner will be announced within 5 days of contest end.

Finally there are official rules drafted by IB Legal staff. Lots of words and they will be in the link in the next paragraph. It pays to read them.

Actually, while I know I don't qualify, I was going to take some pics and post them up... I just bought a set of Fiskes for my new to me 930, and if they arrive before the end of the contest....?? Well, if they do - expect some pics....

I apologize but am a little confused. will the winner have the best car? the best wheels? the most artistic photo?
I have two porsches and one has Fiske wheels (which I love btw) so should the pic show the Fiskes or the other car with stock wheels? thanks

Dan, show a picture of your car. Make sure it shows a wheel or wheels. Any brand of wheels, showing Fikse's will not influence the judges who will pick the best looking photo. Could be any model of Porsche. Artistic photos will impress the judges. Make sure the EXIF data shows it was taken during the contest period and post it here and to your album. Click on the rules link if you need more info.
