Default Clearing car through customs after minor modifications in Europe

I am doing an ED trip in July (second for me) and I want to remove the visor stickers and swap out the orange side markers for clear ones while I am over in Europe. I really didn't like the pictures of my 981 Boxster with orange side markers and the sticker while in Europe.

Is this going to be a customs inspection problem for me since the US requires these items on US cars?

I could swap the markers back to orange but not the stickers. Thoughts on this?

I agree. However I will swap out the clear side markers and then return them to the original configuration before I ship back to the US.

Here is my favorite picture of me driving in the Swiss alps for my 2013 ED. All I can see is the sticker on the visor though. I need someone to photoshop this and get it out of the picture! Ughhh...

Haha, that is pretty bad. absolutely nothing some photoshop can't fix though.

FMI, how would you go about removing that visor sticker? they've all been glued on in my past cars.

Follow this procedure in this thread. It worked perfect for me.

They're never going to check or notice. I swapped my yellow for clear indicators and left them on for the return trip home without any issue. Both plates also made it back for me to keep.

Thanks. I am a risk taker so I will do it. I accidentally left a shopping bag filled with souvenirs behind my seat in my 981 and it was still there when the car arrived back in the states.
