Try this for a European Delivery...
Just returned from what was certainly the best driving I've ever done and thought I would share as it would make an ideal ED route.
The trip was inspired by the book Escapes, Traumrouten der Alpen by Stefan Bogner, which is well worth picking up if either you speak German or like looking at pictures of Alpine passes.
My trip started and finished in London but it would be easier still from Stuttgart. The idea was to drive as many passes from the book as possible in a week. Here’s the route for those interested:
Quite a lot of driving every day but on those roads it was a pleasure. Needless to say the GT3 was the perfect car for this kind of work and after 2,500 miles I really got to know it.
On the hairpins I really appreciated the FWS and, even more so, the PDK. I just don’t think I’d have been in first gear as much as I needed to be with a manual. Change down into first and turn in hard; hard enough and feel the PTV kick in but very rarely any understeer. The car is so sorted you just floor it as you hit the apex. A small slip angle and you’re off. A second later and a 9,000 rpm wail is reverberating off the mountain walls. Coming downhill in the rain on the Cup 2s is a slightly different matter(!) but most of the time it’s windows down and AC off.
The scenery is breath-taking and the engineering spectacular, particularly up in the higher passes of Switzerland. The myriad tunnels vary from the miles-long perfectly-finished to the one-laners simply hewn into the rock face. The car sounds incredible in all of them; that point between 8.5k and 9k like someone drilling into your brain.

Nice!
I'm in Geneve now, heading for Munchen tomorrow via some byways. But unfortunately in our MB Eclass rental car
Chamonix offered nice views today super nice weather but about to get 38c here so great timing.
I've driven some passes and will hit some more during my ED starting Sept24.
First non 918 allocation at my dealer unfortunately.. Mid October and November I'll trailer the car to tracks due to 6000 km limit.
