Experience Center Delivery fee increased by over 3 times!
Did anyone else notice that Porsche jumped the price for an Experience Center delivery from around $640 to $2,000. Hardly worth $2,000 -- you can schedule a driving experience for around $500 and pay for your own lunch for $100 -- and is pulling a sheet off the car really worth $1,400? You do get a little bag of M&M's the same color as your car worth maybe $3 and a few digital photos and your name on the wall. The alternative is a free delivery at your dealership. I have done two PECLA deliveries and have one LAST one that I paid $640 for (911 T) -- but this will be my last. Crazy to pay $2,000 for a 1 hour driving experience and a "free" lunch for two people.
Will some of you still pay this $2,000 fee?
Also added $1,500 customer payment to a ED which makes some sense due to the additional logistics required on the part of Porsche - but you can also rent a Porsche from the Drive Program at the Museum for $300 a day and museum is free and eat at the restaurant for $75 and take the tours for free of the factory as well. And you don't have to scratch your car up and delay the delivery by additional month or two.
But the $1,500 is not insane as the $2,000 for an Experience Center delivery.

PECLA was offered to me earlier this year for free and I passed, so I think I agree with you that $2,000 is at least $3,000 too much. That said, I've done a GT3 rental at PECLA in the past, so part of my decision was 'been there, done that'. For others, it may be well worth the cost. Porsche will know what the market thinks soon enough.

I just noticed this as well. Was toying around on the configurator to see what my 2022 C4S would cost now, and my jaw dropped. I paid $500 in 2021 for PECATL, no way I'd pay 2k for that now. It just makes no sense considering a driving experience is as you mentioned, way less - $600 for a 4S or $750 for a GTS.

Have your friend pick up your car - drive it to PECLA - throw a sheet over it - reservation at the restaurant and reserve a driving experience. Have your friend pull the sheet off in front of PECLA - eat lunch for $60 and do a driving experience for $650 -
I am doing a PECLA delivery for my 911 T in early July - last one - because this is $650, same for my Panamera last month and for my GTS Boxster two years ago —
definitely not worth $2,000 — $1,000 maybe - but not $2,000 —
I think they were losing money on the transport from the harbor often to PECLA -
but this is for buyers of these expensive cars - kind of insulting to go from $600 to $2,000….

I took delivery at PECATL earlier this year before the price hike. I agree with you that it's not worth $2,000 assuming the programming is identical to pre-price hike. While it was a good experience, it's also one of those things that I don't need to do again.

Thanks for answering my question before I asked it. I was toying with the idea of doing it and taking a long ride through the Georgia and Carolina hills on my way home then I noticed the price!
Wonder if they are trying to kill the program?

Question is did they also increase the price of PECLA as a stand alone experience? Has anyone looked into that?
