Default Car cover

If I was to purchase a car cover, say from the Porsche dealer next to the Leipzig Experience center, and place it into the frunk prior to dropping off the car in Sindelfingen, would it make it to me in the States? I'm going to be parking outdoors overnight several times during ED and would just prefer to have a cover on it. I also don't want to fly home with it personally or pay to ship it back to the US.

My understanding is that anything personal left in the car likely will not make it to the US. And Porsche makes it pretty clear in their contract for ED that anything left in the vehicle is out of their hands/they don't allow it.
I also am facing a similar situation because I fear that the car will sit for such a long time before it reaches me in the US, I don't want it to get too dirty... but my plan is to just do a really good hand wash right before leaving at the Port.

Options: Buy a Non-Porsche Car cover for cheap $$.... or stop at a DHL location in Stuttfgart and pony up the couple hundred bucks to ship it home (I vote this route. Get the proper cover, spend the shipping money and have it when you get home)

You can not leave anything in the car at all. They check the car at drop off and it won't clear customs.
