Yes, I am just using phone, airplay w/ maps... I haven't used a vehicle GPS in many years.

I travel to EU extensively - usually 4-5 times per year.
My best experience is with the app "Here We Go" (ex Nokia stuff bought out by BMW, Audi and Porsche) that allows you to download all the maps you might need for the whole world with your choice of detail - and it is still free. Beauty is that it works without GSM/data capability.

I appreciate everyone's help. Others had discussed paying Porsche to install EU maps prior to ED, but that was several years ago. I contacted someone at Leipzig ED and they confirmed that this is no longer an option. I realize I can use ACP or AA via an adapter but I don't use either O/S on my phone. Considering how much I paid for NAV, it would be nice to actually get to use it! Seeing that it isn't an option, I'll just have to make other arrangements.

Well now that you have to pay $1500 for ED (starting with MY24) I sure hope they're going to start pre-loading EU maps on US ED cars like BMW used to do (for free).
