Wash your car before Leipzig drop off?
Hi Team! has anyone had any experience or ideas on how to clean the car off prior to dropping it at Leipzig? (obviously something close would be great). I can't bear the thought of leaving bugs and organics on the car for weeks or months while it ships to US. you'd think you could pay porsche to wash it at Leipzig, but haven't been able to find any evidence of that being possible.
thanks in advance!

I find it hard to believe that they will stack all the protection films on a super dirty car with all the bugs?

Its hard to believe, but many on Rennlist have posted that their car arrived at dealer with the Euro bugs still present haha... I remember reading one post not that long ago that said the dealer didnt even wash the car for him, handed him the key and said "as soon as you picked up the car in germany, they became your bugs... not ours". It made me laugh

I think I am going to try this one. Close to the drop off. It is a power spray one so I will have to wash by hand but I don't like using the fully automatic ones.

Im looking into it as I am now dropping there as well. I might contact the shipping yard and see if they have any suggestions, otherwise I'll call the Porsche dealer near the factory and ask them... to hard to get the actual factory/museum on the phone

I think this place is pretty close to Simovic in Sindelfingen based on a google search. It has got a 4/5 rating on google. Self service pressure wash type of place that I was planning on using unless there are some other alternatives. I was planning using tracwrap for the high impact areas.

I'm with you on that it looks ugly. Someone on here did silver GT3 and didn't look great. Since I am actually planning on taking it to the track I feel obligated. My plan is to take pictures during delivery and then remove it once I get to the Black Forest.

^ Ya I seen that thread with the GT3, it was all wrinkled everywhere. In all my reading, which I have done A LOT lately, lots of guys have said they did 10+ day trips without a rock chip. Mountain passes, obviously more risky. (Im not headed to the mountain passes).
Im going to buy some trackwrap and scissors, Cut some pieces and try apply to certain areas, like the rear wheel fronts, mybe some pieces along the front, I will see how it goes down. Check a youtube or try it out at home first.
