Anybody know the name of this hotel overlooking the ring? I plan on picking up a 992GT3 next year and taking it to Nurburgring. The balcony appears to have an awesome view of the track. (hotel on the right, not the one in the middle of the pic)

My girl friend wont ride with me around the track, but she will video tape me on it and I thought this view from the balcony would work quite well. Are there any other hotels that have a similar view?

Don’t know the name but you should have a Great time. Plan on being at the ring on Saturday or Sunday. I arrived mid day on Sunday and it was about 90% less crowded since it had rained earlier. The taxi drivers said that on nice day it can be really busy. I was encouraged to NOT drive the new car on the track but that just seemed like a silly recommendation.

Looking athe circuit map, there are 2 hotels side by side at the Nürburgring Adenau entrance.

I guess this might be a little bit far off the track as the photo is potentially missleading. The photo was taken just after Wehrseifen turn down to Breitscheid, I really doubt that you could see much from the balcony and you need some serious photo gear. However, just cross the street in front of the hotel and there is a public (and usually open) access to the ring (on the photo to the right) with great views cars coming down from Wehrseifen and make their way to Ex Mühle.

The only other hotel I am aware of with some good view to the GP circuit and a little bit of the Ring is the Dorint Hotel, but you need to get rooms more on the right side of the building and higher up, but very nice hotel. Stayed there a couple of times.

The Dorint trackside rooms have a great view of the GP circuit but you can't really see any of the Nordschleife.

That is a good point as I wont be on the GP circuit. I am planning on only doing the open tourist day on the Nordschleife.

I have no clue what the hotel's name is, but you can look at the circuit map and find out the name yourself. The last time I was in Nurburgring to watch the German Grand Prix, I stayed at the other hotel with a view of the track but closer to the entrance. I can't recall the name of that one either. Anyway, Formula 1 will not have a race at the Nurburgring in 2022, so I reckon you should check the other F1 events.
