HAHAHA, yeah yeah. Next thing you know they are going to tell me my 944 looks like a cop car and i have to change its color! I swear, if police actually got to drive half decent cars, they wouldnt be so sour. Damn, i mean its not my fault their company car is a Crown Vic.
Anyways, everything is looking good! Hopefully the weather will clear up for us!
I finally got a tow-hook for my car, I hope you have one too Pari!

You never know though Tony, nowdays cops are in all kinds of undercover cars, I wouldn't be surprised if they have some tricked out european sportscars as police cruisers. Just got to watch out for those damn Chrysler Cirrus's. Did you go see Curtis yet?, I am going by there Thursday to grab my baby. Hit me up with a PM if you want to get together before the fun run. A tow hook is definitely on my Christmas list

Not sure if I can come - would love the drive, but my mother is in town, so unless she feels like a drive...
Anyway, I look forward to more events, having gotten my 996 2 weeks ago (1200 miles already).
As for Crown Victorias, they are underrated. Considering you can pick one up new for around 20K, or used for 1/2 that, they are great to drive. Certainly a lot better than any SUV under $40K.
I did a course at Bob Bondurant about a year ago and spent about 3 days in Mustangs and a day in Crown Vics - they are fun to drive and take a good beating. The instructors had Crown Vics with Cobra motors (and other mods), and they were something else!
Don't forget, there is not much out there with RWD under about 30K. I would say they about the best of the mainstream US Big 3 products available (excluding Pontiac GTO, Cadillac CTS V8 and XLR)

great. I'm going to scope the possible routes into town on Saturday. Newly installed splitter gives me only 3.5" clearance up front. Going in the CCC parking lot may be a little dicey
Undecided whether I wanna drive out to Rockville, only to double back going to Annapolis. Maybe I just meet you guys there.

This weekend is looking good in terms of weather! I cant wait for sunday! Lets double check- 10am meet outside the starbucks in the shopping center by toysRus. Cool. See everyone there! OH OH OH....so everyone knows just in case. I believe they are closing Randolph road that morning for construction or something. Try to avoid it! I will be hitting the pike from kensington instead. Just letting everyone know in case more people try to come up from my area.

Excellent info in that Randolph Rd is closed that day.... but where EXACTLY is it closed???
I'm coming from Aspen Hill by Georgia, so maybe I'll take Aspen Hill Rd instead.
It's going to be the KILLER weather day. Sunny and cool.
Peace,
Steve

Steve,
Any estimate on when the caravan will reach Annapolis? I live in Annapolis and would like to meet up with the group.

I believe all of randolph is going to be closed going East. Or at least thats the impression i got from the huge electric signs allover the road. If coming from Georgia from aspen hill, i would keep going and make a right onto university. Take it down through kensington and make a right on Knowles. Follow that til you hit rockville pike just below White Flint Mall. Make a right and you are like 3 lights from the meeting point. If you want, let me know what time you are leaving and we can meet up on georgia. Maybe at the wheaton Library parking lot and go from there.

Thanks Tony. I'll just take Aspen Hill Rd in that case over to Viers Mill Rd, left on Twinbrook Pky to Rockville Pk.
Thanks for the heads up!
I don't know exactly when I'm leaving, so I best just meet you there at Starbucks in Rockville in front of Toy's R Us.
As far as when we are getting to Annapolis, I'd guess we'd be in the parking lot at the restaurant at 12 noon at the latest, then we'll walk over to Cherner's Classics together for 30 minutes to check out their cars, then eat lunch at 1230pm. I have a reservation under Robinson for 15 at 1230.
Cheers,
Steve
