Howdee,

I just moved to Greensburg, PA, about 30 minutes South-East of Pittsburgh. Who should I go to for routine stuff on my 2008 Cayman S? There is a bit of a clutch peddle squeak that has developed and I'm not sure where to go. I spoke with Max at the Porsche Dealership in Pittsburgh but that looks like it might not work due to scheduling.

I grew up in Greensburg but live a little closer to Pittsburgh now.
I've been taking my 944 for service to Richlin Imports for years.
They are in Harrison City which is close.
1084 Harrison City Export Rd
Harrison City, PA 15636
724-744-4044
Doesn't look like much but they do good work.
Open on Saturday from 8-12.

Thanks. I'll check them out. I met Dave Hanza (Hansa?) today and he seemed nice but it was almost an hour drive to get there and had to drive through some scary/shady areas and he is not open on weekends. Was really nice though and said he could meet me in the evening some time if I give him a call.
He has a good reputation too, right?

I'm not familiar with Dave. Harrison City should only be 15-20 minutes or so from most points in Greensburg. No scary areas to go through to get there.
By the way, my name is Mike. My folks still live in Greensburg and I get out there regularly. They live near Pitt-Greensburg (the university of pittsburgh at greensburg campus).
Would like you check out your Cayman sometime if you're available.

Thanks for suggesting Richlin; I just had brake pads done by them and I was impressed with their service and the quality of their work.

Glad to hear everything worked out well and you were pleased with their work. I was there a few weeks ago with my 944 not starting. Ended up being a bad crank position sensor. They had them in stock on got me going again in no time.

Would still like to check out your Cayman sometime.

Mike

No, not me.

I ended-up getting a new clutch with Richlin. Brandon and the front desk ladies are all nice and great to deal with and the work seems good thus far. I'll be going back to do a few other things. The clutch is engaging pretty high up (toward the end/top, furthest form the floor) of the peddle range so Brandon said they will bleed the system and if that doesn't work we can look into replacing the slave cylinder but he said there were no leaks and from outside it looked good.

I am pleased with their work and I certainly recommend them!

I've been pleased with the work at Richlin. Have you met Rich the owner yet? Tell him Mike Plummer sent you if you do. He's a good guy. Very busy though. Spends half or more of his time in Naples, FL on a business he has down there.
Erin at the desk is really nice.
Glad to hear all is working out well.

Have not met Rich, I understand he is in Florida, or was when I was there a few weeks ago.

Yes. I ran out to Schramm's Farm (about half mile past Richlin) to pick up some things and there is a bakery in the building so I picked up some cookies. Stopped and gave Erin a couple. She loved them and appreciated them since she couldn't get out for lunch. Schramm's has fresh grown locally grown fruits and vegetables etc.
I mentioned you to Erin and she said your name is Jake...from State Farm
So, you know Erin is going to be expecting cookies or something from you.

Yah, we have the same commercial in Canada but no one ever says that to me in Canada. Here, I get it every day almost every time I introduce myself.
