Hi Folks

In September, I'm coming out to Asheville, NC to attend a reunion of one of the military units in which I served. The reunion is Sep 10-13. After that, we want to tour the area for a couple of weeks.

We already have Great Smoky Mt Nat'l Park on the itinerary, and am thinking about a loop to include Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston, Wilmington, Fayetteville (HQ of Special Forces is why), and Raleigh. Anywhere else I should include? And anything in particular at these locations we should see?

We had initially thought of getting up to DC, but have decided that's a bit away, and will save that for another trip.
