I'm picking up a 997.1TT next weekend, can anyone recommend a good independent shop for maintenance and repairs?
Every dealer I've ever gone to for service (for any make) has been absolutely horrible in northern VA. Unfortunately I don't expect Porsche to be any different...

Arlington here. Just got a 1996 993 Carrera. I can recommend Chapman Autowerks as well. It's a bit far out there from Arlington, but all my experience with them so far has been great, and I'm quite sure I'm saving tons over the stealership prices closer in to DC.
I go to cars and coffee in Great Falls every month or two, but haven't brought the 993 yet. I'd be up for a Porsche-only meetup some time in the next month or two.

I'd be down for that. I go to Katie's every once in awhile when I can wake up.

Anyone have recommended shops for safety/emissions? Just picked up an RS and need to get it ready for registration. Don't want to take her to a random gas station. I'm located in Ashburn.

I believe Curry's now owned by Mr. Tire does safety and emissions. Also the good year tire shop in Ashburn near the Global foods as well does it. I also believe merchant tires in Ashburn Farms does it as well.

Problem is I trust none of those shops to deal with center locks.
