I doubt there are many (if any) Porsche specialty dismantlers in FLA. You may find a boneyard specializing in "exotics" or something like that, but Porsche specific =

There are quite a few in Calif. & Ariz., as the West is mecca for Porsche enthusiasts. FLA? Mustangs and pick-ups

What parts are you seeking? I've purchased several good pieces from "on-line" boneyards (Oklahoma Foreign, LA Porsche Dismantlers, German Auto Dismantlers).

Nothing really big. I need visor clips and things like that. Any recommendations?

Check E-Bay and the aforementioned on-line wreckers. (I just did an E-Bay search for "944 sun visor" and found five auctions for new/used sun visor clips).

Before running afoul of the law, Kempton Brothers was a very large Porsche specific salvage yard in Tampa. Florida apparently had enough of a Porsche following to keep them in business, making some pretty decent coin, for a good number of years.

(IIRC, they were done in by quite a few EPA violations).

(Since I don't live up in Orlando anymore...I tell you where I found my 928 "parts hogs".)

I had two burried-to-the-axles 928's out in Bithlo in this junkyard off of 50 [Colonial, but way f*cking east]. One was in this place called J&E Auto parts. I don't remember what road it was just east of, but it was about 15 miles east of civilization; the kind of place where 3 year old children race their quads while trying not be eaten by the dogs~

Anyway, I found two 928's burried up to their axles in mud. The rattlesnake on the passenger floorboard was only 4 feet long, so I procured tools from my '66 Ford F100 [considered a contemporary vehicle in these parts] and gleefully pulled the perfect pod from the 928 after inflicting "severe" enforcement on said serpent.

[this means that I beat the living f*ck out of it with a piece of Volvo body trim~ ]

I really don't care for rattlesnakes; sorry.

N!
