OK, here we go, 2007 is almost here!

First SBBC of the 2007 will be on Sunday, January 7th, 2007 and since it's the first of '07, "Special SBBC" is in order.

Maybe something like was suggested for Dec (Breakers run) and to get more folks, a later start.

How about a start around 8-8.30 am at the usual 595 meeting point and then head up north somewhere in West Palm Beach (drive up on around there A1A is pretty damn cool). People who live and know places there, please suggest where we should go? Or down South to Key Biscayne (I'd vote for going North though)?

Who's in and suggestions where to go & at what time?

I'm in if you come up North (Broward/Palm Beach). I usually cruise up A1A, thru Hillsboro to Delray. There are a few parking lots along the way for a meet.

Count me in. Keep in mind that there will be a run to Lake Okeechobee (Clewiston Inn) on January 13.

I don't live in Palm Beach, but I was told there is a good place a couple of blocks from The Breakers. The place is called Testa's. It has outside or inside seating and has parking in front as well as a parking lot. You can get off I-95 around Hypoluxo or Southern Blvd. and follow the beach road north to Testa's.

 

It's a great idea (Clewiston Inn Drive) however I just finished speaking with MJSpeed and we both agree there's no point of doing two so similar events on back to back weekends since both of them are fairly big size drives.

We'll do January on 7th since that was planned before and do the "Clewiston Drive" on February, that way we'll have more people for both.

 

Our drive details are now finilazized and they are as follows:

January 7th, Sunday. We'll have two meeting points (North & South)

South meet is at Ham & Eggery between 7.00 am-8.30 am. Those interested in having great country breakfast, come there at 7-7.30 and have some, those not, meet us there before 9 am when we start hauling our asses up north.

We'll go I-95 up to 595, then go to to A1A and have another (North) meeting point at the big parking lot next to Elbow Room in Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Meeting time there is 9.30 am and we'll leave 10 am.

From there we'll head up north via A1A to Pompano Beach and have early lunch at the Seafood restaurant called Seawatch.

 

What is the scheduled meeting time for the "Elbo Room"?

SeaWatch is kinda fancy...they don't let us grease-stained overall wearing type in there. :lol:

I forgot to put some of the times (TIMES NOW ADDED).

We'll leave "H&E" 9 am and the meeting time for "ER" is 9.30 am. We'll leave from there 10 am.

Grease won't be a problem, we'll just have to change our overalls and wash up before entering...
