Having new tires installed on the 14th in preparation for a nice long drive, heading out of town the weekend of the 22nd/23rd, will be back though for later dates if it's moved.

Sorry to hear. Didn’t know anyone was coming from that far or would have made it clearer that date can change. Last year, we moved the date at least 5X due to weather, so rain delay could happen again this year. Seems no pool is cause enough for a refund?!….😕
Hey thx for the sympathy all. Actually sorted the hotel ( free cancel! ) Now we're waiting for a more solid date to try to meet up I'll keep watching this space

Agree. Appreciate everyone’s flexibility. We should all bookmark this thread and check every few days at minimum. I’ll set up group text chat about a week before final meet date determined, mainly to text each other for last minute weather delays / direct communication needed on meet day, etc. Everyone continue to chime in here on dates preferred in the meantime!

It's hard enough to get one date plus maybe a rain date. Having two dates is only going to make it worse and split the group, particularly once the kids are out of school and vacations get in the way.
My vote would be one date now, and one date in late Sept or early Oct and get a nice fall foliage drive in together.
