Haven't posted on this part of rennlist yet, but wanted to drop a quick hello to everyone. First Porsche purchase was back in 2015, buying a 997 Turbo in Manual. Heavily modded it, sold it to another 6speed member last year. Recently acquired a 991 GT3 in Racing Yellow. Happy to rip along with a few other owners on the forum. I've noticed a Black 991 GT3 and Ultra Violet RS cruising around my area (King of Prussia). Looking forward to meeting more of the local crew.

Looks as though there are C&C meets at both Fabspeed and Porsche Warrington, which is about a 25 min drive separating them (depending how spirited you drive!). I plan to be at Warrington tomorrow as long as it doesn't rain.

- Joe

Hi Joe,

Congrats! Looks awesome! I don't have the guts to go with RY but I think it looks great. The Fabspeed meet happened on 6/6. I plan to make Warrington C&C tomorrow. Look for a Chalk GT3.

Hi all, looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at the Warrington C&C...a bit of a home-coming as that's where I picked up my 718 CGTS (Graphite Blue Metallic). -Alex

Hey, who would have ever though I'd find a use for this original sales ad picture from Porsche Warrington.
PS: If anyone knows the original owner who had this car for about a year, I would love to buy that man/woman a beer.

Anyone know what time the Warrington C&C is? Couldn’t find any details online...

Default First Time Porsche Owner

Hello everyone. I fulfilled a life long dream of owning a 911 last week. I bought a 2008 997.1 Turbo Cab from Porsche Mechanicsburg. They did a tremendous amount of work on the car: new tires; new rotors, pads, and fluid; 40k major service to include plugs; new windshield; new frunk release switch; new front lower spoiler; new rear spoiler hydraulic cylinder; and replaced the camshaft, resealed one coolant flange and pinned remaining coolant pipes. They CPO'd it for 2 years/unlimited miles.

It has the Makassar Package 801 which is really growing on me. TBarrow posted in the 997 Turbo forum that there were only 264 997.1 Turbos with the "Makassar Package 801". I can't decide if that's good or if that tell's me nobody likes wood trim in their 911!

The only minor issue is some wear on the driver seat bolster. I would REALLY appreciate local guys recommending someone to repair the leather on that bolster.

Otherwise, I couldn't be happier! While it is water cooled, there is still no sound like a 911 with the top down. Truly is everything I thought it would be. I live in Lititz and am looking forward to meeting folks at upcoming events - COVID dependent of course.

Obligatory new car pick!

Great looking car.

For the seat repair you might want to look at Auto Seat Cover Company in Harrisburg. Owner is an avid road racer and autocrosser and does very high quality work.

Hey guys, need some guidance with a speeding ticket (asking here because it happened in PA).

My wife was ticketed for 75mph in a 55mph zone. Speed detected with a “Stopwatch.”

I don’t mind paying and forgetting this ticket. However, is there a way to fight it to avoid the points?
