Recommended Porsche shops in Asheville NC area?
(Cross-posting here at suggestion of 997 board)
Approaching age 70 (still waiting for mid-life crisis), I'm looking for a 911, most likely a 997.1 C2S. Possibly a really good 996. I've been doing my due diligence on this and other boards, talking to owners, etc. Prior to finding the car of my dreams, I'd like to identify potentially good independent Porsche shops in the Asheville area (I'm about 30 miles west in the mountains).
I'm hoping that some folks on this board can pass along a couple of recommendations. Although I have a "trial" PCA membership, I have not yet been able to make any contacts in Asheville.
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks.

You should join the PCA. I am a regional leader in the Wilderness Trail region which is next to the Asheville region. There are some great people in the Asheville area. I know they have mentioned to me a couple people that are good mechanics in the area.
Plus the Treffen event is being held at the Grovepark from the 20th-24th this month.
