When are you starting? Just finished my MX5 race, and did some quick laps at Long Beach, I product this is going to be a mess.

I dig it! Though it seems like there is a certain pace that, once you cross it, the track gets sketchy. I can run in the 19.9-20.4 all day long but once I start to push just the tiniest bit more, I get all out of shape. Bumps and crests in the pavement kick the car around quite a bit once you pick up the pace. I managed to squeak a 19.3 but have no idea how Tom got down to 18.0....

With most of the hard-braking, 90-degree turns, I think passing will be fairly easy... though they'll all be "stuff" moves.

I'm using Justin's Sonoma setup and I think it works well allowing me to put down power well out of the slow corners. The final hairpin is a huge sacrifice complex where I give up the 2 previous turns to enter that one with 2 tires on the left rumble strip to make the angle less than 180 and slow way early. Don't get too close to the center wall at apex as it has a curb that really screws you up.

I might have to try that setup. I've been using my Sebring setup (which I'm pretty sure is largely based off of one of your sets)

FWIW all my sets were either Ted, Julian, or Justin sets slightly modified to my taste. I think this Sonoma set works well with lower grip and bumps better than the Sebring one we started with so I think you'll find it helps. I'll share it Sunday night if I get back in time from the two day out of town autocross I'm heading to straight from work today.

One of the fast guys coughed up a setup last night that I saved. I finally got down to the low 18s with it. I don't yet feel like I can attack the track, more like just hanging on for dear life.

Nice. I'd be curious if it was better than yours for my driving style.

There is a ton of off camber where I roll into the throttle with steering wheel completely straight knowing I want to turn because the throttle is going to take care of it. I got a lot of it wrong at times and knocked my toe out of wack. I tried doing many laps with messed up toe damage and you still can go reasonably fast.
