LOL at people replying like ********, not realizing they are in the SIM RACING sub forum. And the GT3R is indeed a GT3 classed car. Evidently some people here don't actually follow motorsports series.
I tested the GT3R last night, love it. It will be my go-to GT3 car moving forward for the VRS series & special events. iRacing did a fantastic job with this one!
I initially posted this in the 991 gt3 forum so that’s why it’s been moved. Those responses were from real life GT three owners who did not appreciate the topic. That being said I don’t see any reason to have another 911 in iracing cuz I drive the RSR. For gt3 series I drive the AMG.

The RSR is mid engine and custom design for GTE class. The 911 GT3 R is rear engine as the road car variants.
With GT3 being a very popular class they’re just filling out the grid.
in iracing i just dont need another Porsche.....it's hard enough as it is to master one car per class. And i own an SLS BS so it's cool to drive a car in iracing(GT3 class) that is similar to what i own in real life.
Did some test laps last night in the GT3R. So far, very easy to drive.... but then I was also in a private test since all the rooms were full.
I thought the GT3 Cup was easy to drive too - until I finally got in a room and realized that I was 4-5 seconds off the pace lol. Suddenly the Cup became much, much harder to drive.

One of the guys I subscribe to tested five of the GT3 cars on the same track back to back. The AMG was the fastest by a few tenths....the 911 Gt3 was equal to the others within a tenth. The Audi received a 10kg weight penalty. These things can all change with the next patch and new season next week.
