I would recommend clear adhesive which blends in with the black plastic. I would also scuff the plastic with Scotchbrite pad or sandpaper to promote better adhesion. Goop’s properties allow for some give to mitigate cracking.

I just did the Rennline install on my .1 GTS. I'll post pics later, but for the center grill I used black Gaffer's tape around the edges of the screen and adhered to the plastic of the intake on the inside. Gaffer's tape can pretty much hold buildings together. You can also use Gorilla tape and it comes in black as well. That is also strong stuff. Regarding the screen - I folded the sides over so there is quite a bit for the tape to grab. Just need to make a few cuts at the corners so the folds can be made.

So, the beauty about the center Mesh Grill install is that you can work on it before mounting it into the bumper as you have seen in this project. The epoxy has been holding it solid even after installing it into the bumper itself. Please note once you install the bumper back on the car, on to the the Apron (Porsche service manual) as you see in the picture, the grill will fit right in that perimeter and it will be sort of a tight seal. The epoxy assured a good bond and kept the mesh to the Apron. Once I had the bumper back on, the grill is solid in place and looks like factory install.

Cheers

Just wanted to say thank you for listing the type of mesh. I did a DIY write up on the forums about a year ago but I use a Hex mesh. I like this one much more and it feels stronger. So I redid it. Another reason is I wanted to added mesh in in the center side intake area as well. Too many cig butts and leaves getting trapped inside.

Nice install. Looks like .1 and .2 have some different innards behind the cover.

I didn't install the small screens in case I want to get a vacuum hose inside. Small stuff does pass thru.
