Yellow coolant fault code ?
Just bought a 2013 base Carrera cab PDK via the internet from a reputable dealer. Had a PPI done from a independent Porsche shop and showed know big problems. Got it delivered and within 10 miles it though a yellow coolant fault warning on the dash, bummed me out immediately, I thought what the fu..k !!!! I'm coming from a 996 which was a great car. Ok now what do I do... Go to Rennlist and research the problem. Was not aware of the COV ( changeover valve problems) plagued the 991. I'm trying figure what caused the warning. I plugged in my cheap OB reader in and it showed no codes. At first I thought it was the heater COV but I still get heat not hot but its warm ? then I thought it was the sound symposer because it was messing with the sport mode button I thought I heard a difference in the exhaust sound, it does not PSE option. After pushing the sport button that's when I noticed the yellow warning coming on. Do base Carrera have COV for the the exhaust note? Went ahead and ordered a couple updated COV's & harness's. frustrated..... any help or ideas are appreciate!

Bump.
Did you get this issue fixed? '13 C4S here, no big modifications, no sport+, no sport exhaust. I've had almost the exact same problem - Nothing seems to be wrong except the car is so much louder with a really deep engine noise that seems to vibrate the interior of the car (I can feel it very lightly through my feet, especially my right foot).

I had a similar issue after replacing the water pump. Check the coolant level on the engine when cold. Add coolant if necessary. In my case it was likely just a bubble. The problem went away (fault code cleared itself) and has not come back after 10,000 miles.
