Porsche Track Precision or Harry's Laptimer?

Porsche Track Precision or Harry's Laptimer?
I am a newbie trying to find my way around in DEs. I have done a few events but have not used any data acquisition. All my events were done on a 2014 C4S. I even got Harry's laptimer petrolhead but felt the data would be useless since I was so new and had so many other things to learn. Now I got a GT4 with Porsche Track Precision app. I hear many folks suggesting that I use data acquisition to help me learn. I know I already spent a few thousand bucks on Porsche's stuff but now the check is cashed and I have no problem in not using it if not really that valuable.
I am planning on using VBOX Sport for GPS and RAM mount for iPhone with either. If to use Harry's laptimer, my plan was to use GoPoint Technology 9105 BT1 (would it work on my GT4?).
I am not really planning on using both... I could toggle between them but would prefer not to buy the OBDII connector if I am just to use the car's app. I have read a lot of complaints on Porsche's app. What do you guys suggest?
I think it may sound insane. But what about VBOX Video HD2? Would it be overkill for my skill level?

HD2 is not yet available but hopefully soon. I have VBox Sports and mounts in stock. FergusH is the forum member to speak to. He's considered and been through the same steps you have. For me, the video is extremely important. This is why the HD2 was and is worth waiting for, for several of us.
