Displaying the current TIME on SoloDL or MXL2?
I've got the SoloDL which I use for a couple of different race cars, and an MXL2 dash in the Radical.
Here's the scenario - your sitting on pit lane, or grid, waiting to head out for a session or the race. It'd be really helpful to setup a dash view or solo custom screen (I've got several for different scenarios) which showed the current time. That way you'd know how long your going to be waiting, when best to fire up the engine etc. I've found the marshals at pit generally do a great job letting drivers know how to go, but not always.
You can get to view the time on both screens (MXL and Solo) by going into time settings (couple of menus deep), but it's not ideals your fiddling with the computer when your really trying to get the right frame of mind for the upcoming session/race. I couldn't find a way Inc the time variable to be a field you can add to a screen on either MXL2 or Solo.
Anyone know a way to do it?

That's strange. I don't think you can do it on the Solo DL, but both the MXG and MXS I have configured show local time. Will look at the configs and see about the MXL2, too.

Was in the car again over the weekend.
So long as the engine isn't running, the current GPS time is displayed lower right in the INFO LINE area. As soon as you start the engine and its running, it just says INFO LINE.
Pushing this post back to the top to see if anyone has got the time to display while the engine is running...anywhere on the MXL2 screen? Just another helpful field when your lined up waiting to go out, or when running an enduro to get a sense of where your at in say a 90 minute or two hour stint.
