Default AIM MXL Session Trigger?

I tried searching, but somehow, I'm never very successful with searching for AIM specific answers..

Is there anyway to have the MXL not start recording data unless a threshold is reached? Say Speed > 40 mph. Annoyed that it records when car is moved around the paddock

Thanks in advance

Not as far as I know. The MXL starts logging with an RPM signal.

The MXL2 OTOH starts with user defined speeds and rpm thresholds, like you want.

There is no way on an MXL. It starts recording with RPM or wheel speed going over a threshold (I believe it's 500 rpm and 5 kph) which are not user definable. Scott's answer of using an separate power switch for the MXL is probably the best way if you don't want to have the small sessions.

When downloading files, just look at the number of laps. If it's only 1, then it's not a real session. Look for the sessions with more laps and just download them.
