Default SmartyCam Sport overlay issue

All - used my new SC Sport and Solo2 DL set up this weekend and was very disappointed in the camera. The overlay i created and transmitted to the storage card doesn't match what's on the screen, track is on the wrong place and is huge, and zero timing information. I'm also seeing kph and not mph.
I'm pretty familiar with the AIM software having had 3 dashes so far and one older cam but these newer devices seem harder to setup than before. Also, i'm using the 991 obd2 on my .1 RS but it picks up channels like gear box temp that aren't even indicated in RS3. I love having more info but it's baffling frankly, i'm wired into CAN btw.

Any ideas?

RS3 setup

It takes some getting used to, as there are additional steps in the configuration to allow elements (animated parts of the display) to be shown.

Here are the best resources I know of, both made by James Colborn in the UK, a teaching resource for AiMShop, the UK importer.

A little more detail:

From the AiM Users Group this morning on FB: James adds a pearl of wisdom. Turns out the SC3 doesn't like negative numbers.

If you are using the new SmartyCam 3 Sport and you've got odd data coming from your SmartyCam Stream (see first image), AiM Software have shared with me a way of getting this fixed.
  1. Go to your SmartyCam 3 Sport configuration
  2. Click on 'select protocol' and click 'OK'
  3. Click on 'replace' at the bottom of the page
  4. Upload the configuration to your SC3 Sport
Just figured others might appreciate this if they are getting weird readings when off throttle.

Thanks Pro Coach, i'll watch those videos tonight try reconfiguring settings. Any ideas as to why the video looks awful? I expected a lot more but it still looks like 720p.

Quick summary - I didn’t watch the videos (I’m currently on a ship in the Mediterranean)… and currently waiting on my wine!!

once you’ve saved the configurations to the card, you need to install them to the camera. 3 steps: firmware, config, and tracks each get done separately. Yes, takes a few extra steps.
