V-Box "No Media" icon at startup...?
Hello,
I started seeing a "no media" icon at startup from my V-Box HD2 last weekend... I don't remember seeing this previously...? And yes, there is a media card installed! What could be causing this and is it something I need to worry about? Data and video seemed to record as usual for the most part throughout the weekend despite the "no media" message.
Thanks,
Tom

Update the display firmware.

To close the loop on this... I've had some back & forth with Racelogic's tech support and we determined that this is actually normal behavior, for the no media icon to flash at start up. It's basically the HD2 telling you that it's not ready to record yet. As I told tech support - while I can not say for certain, it seems like the no media prompt stuck around for longer when I was at the track a few weeks ago… it seemed different enough behavior that I decided to inquire about it. My race car however, is not my daily driver, so I’m not 100% familiar with every idiosyncrasy and it could have been my poor memory… regardless, it seems that it's normal behavior, so it's all good. I did find that I wasn't running the latest firmware update on the HD2, but don't know if that had anything to do with what I thought might be new behavior.
As an aside, I found Racelogic's tech support to be VERY responsive during our back & forth emailing. I sent them info on my HD2 and OLED and my scene file and they replicated my system to run tests on etc... I'd rate them very highly!
Thanks,
Tom

Since upgrading to the latest firmware on both oled and vbox, at my last event, it would take multiple ejections and reinsertion of the SD card for the No SD card message to go away and for led to go from blinking to solid.
Maybe it was happening before which is why I wouldn't get sessions recorded sometimes. At least now I know before I go out and can fix it.

Please report this. I don’t often use the new mini OLED in my portable installations, but have no problems recording reliably since I updated the firmware to .81 about the same time you did.
