I just purchased a new 16" MBP and installed Parallels 17 and Win 11 preview for ARM.
I do not have a Win 10 option at this point as far as I can tell.

I installed RS3 which appears to work, although all my data is somehow lost in the non-functional old Win 10VM.

RS3 Beta errors on install - need to look into that.

Thanks for the report. You can download a .iso image for Win10 with a license for $99

During RS3 Beta install, early in the installation I get
"Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-2019 x64 mandatory prerequsite no properly installed"

Thoughts?

Latest version of this package available here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp...?view=msvc-160

Had some faulty installs recently until I added this.

Which package did you specifically install? I tried a few different ones and none made a difference.

I had the issues on 64 bit Windows machines, specifically my new Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio and with a couple client computers I was working with remotely. It’s been reported in the AiM Users Group on FB. I would think it would be the x64 version, but could be the ARM64 version.

You could also try the 2015 and not the latest release. That’s what I did on my own equipment.

I hadn't seen that posted in the FB group. Maybe it wasn't public?

I emailed AIM support and explained the problem. They sent me an updated RS3 Beta installer which worked perfectly.
I then proceeded to import some data files for RS2 analysis which worked fine.
I then imported some corresponding video into RS3 analysis which also worked fine.

I have to say, RS3 beta has come a long way - I really like it and it has several really useful 'canned' reports and is easy to navigate.

Thus, I think we can call an M1 macbook pro 16" with Win 11 and Parallels 17 a "go" for AIM RS2/3.

(All the files were imported directly from SD cards from an EVO5 and SCHD2. I also imported via Wifi from a Solo2)

Thanks for testing with Parallels! It's good to know we still have a path to use Apple hardware with AiM software. I am sad there's no more Boot Camp though.

Wow, go away for a couple of weeks and a lot happens.

It sounds like my experience is similar to others here. I installed Parallels Desktop 17. And followed the directions for to join the windows insider program and to download and install Win11 for ARM. It went smoothly although Win11 is throwing an error checking for windows updates. You need to configure Parallels networking for the Win11 VM to "shared network". This allowed me to download and install RS3/RS2 Analysis. After a reboot Windows Update downloaded and installed 4 updates.

RS3 appears to work OK. It installed much faster than on my Lenovo T42 (5-6 years old with an upgraded SSD). RS3 downloaded all of the current firmware updates. I need to copy my AIM data from the Lenovo and visit my car up in Milwaukee to test it with my MXL2. So far so good, but I suspect there may be a few dark corners were is misbehaves. I won't get to test it at a track until Sebring in February.

I just picked up a new MacBook Pro ,, installed parallels and RS2 ,, seems to work fine HOWEVER I can't get it to download data from my Solo via USB ..Was told too bad from AIM support.. Kind of defeated the purpose of getting parallels since I still need to bring a PC to the track.. any ideas??

Is this a M1 MBP? I've heard there are device driver issues.
