Default Aim LCU One Failure

Has anyone had an LCU-One fail? Mine is giving incredibly inconsistent readings from lap to lap and even within the same lap. I have tried replacing the sensor twice.

Will any vendors sell me just the controller without a sensor?

It's best to send the controller to Lake Elsinore or Roanoke and have them check it out. Matt, Jerry or I could sell you a new one, but not without the sensor and that solution really shouldn't be needed.

I've sold over a hundred and have not had an issue or a DOA, but if you have as much variance as you're seeing, there's either a crappy voltage connection, CAN cable connection (AiM CAN to the logger) or an internal component or solder joint that is flaky.

Agree. It's going to be way cheaper to send it in than buy a new one.

I had a customer's sensor fail this weekend at Road America. It was the second sensor he had fail. I found out that he is running 110 octane leaded fuel. These will work for a short time with lead but will eventually fail. His new sensor lasted 2 days.

I've had issues with mine, seems like since purchase. It improved after I contacted Aim and sent it back to them for a check. I think their customer support is top notch and would suggest you contact them.
