Default Solo2DL Digital input

I dual drive a car and we can never keep straight who was the driver for any given session when we download data periodically.

It would be great if I could set some variable to designate who is driving the car for the session.

I don't think my SoloDL has such capability.

I was wondering if I could use the digital input of the S2DL with a toggle switch to track the current driver.

Thoughts?

Digital input? Like an RPM input?

Not possible with another ECU connection.

Will ask for that feature, though. Used to use that a LOT with Traqmate!

Yes - was thinking about the RPM input.
I imagined the input is locked to RPM but thought it could be remapped?

Do other AIM dash/loggers have other digital inputs I could use for this?
Perhaps MxM rather than SDL2

MXm would work. I think that’s why it’s a good step up.

Matt pointed out to me I couldn’t use conventional RPM input AND ECU (or any other custom) CAN.

MXm solves the problem easily. I'd have to think about it with an S2DL, but not thinkignkf an easy way.

With the SCHD, you could always look at the helmet to see who's driving and then edit the properties. Not seem less though.

Problem with this method as far as I can tell is in RSA, a session shows me the start time, while the timestamp on the video file from the SCHD shows me the time the file closed (end of session).
I'm also not convinced these are synched and I often can't align them. This is particularly a problem when we (dual drivers) split a session or other short sessions close in time to each other.

Any tips/hints are appreciated!

Ultra low-tech solution: each driver puts his/her unique, identifying stamp on the front of the session via inputs to the car, e.g. three quick taps of the brake, or several jogs of the steering wheel. Have to do it once you're rolling for the session, so that the Solo is recording.
