Default AIM Solo data loss

I was using my Solo on a hot day at Roebling, and it appeared to be functioning normally all day, displaying what appeared to be accurate lap times. When I attempted to download the data to RS2, the last session and a half showed a constant 3.2 mph and constant values for g loading as well. I’d like to think I was moving faster than that. Possible overheating of the unit from direct sun? Weak battery? It is five years old, so I figured that’s a possibility. Thoughts?

That's really weird. I've never had one overheat. Just to make sure, what does the GPS map look like? I've had people mistake the drive around the pits for the last session before.

I've submitted an inquiry to AIM tech support. I just sent them these screen shots.

Here are GPS maps starting with the last good lap, and the three successive laps. Everything from Lap 9 and beyond, including the next session was the same as lap 9.

Lap 6

Lap 7

Lap 8

Lap 9, etc.

Those are sector maps. If you click the GPS rainbow colored button (under modify in the menu bar), it will open the GPS driven line map. Then you can select the laps.

What you have above is a calculated shape based on acceleration in lat and long. That is only used for sector timing.

How about these. Looks like I'm losing both GPS and accelerometer data, which still makes me wonder if it is a temperature issue.

That is weird. Out of curiosity, if you do a GPS lap insert, what happens?

Weird. I'd email the file in to Italy and see what they say.
