RS3/MXL2 - need timer or clock on screen
Another question for the experts. I can't see a field for time or a timer that resets with power. I'd like to have something on the MXL2 so drivers know how long they've been in the car. A power on timer would be great or even a clock.
I have a small battery powered clock in the car but would rather have one on the screen. Seems obvious but i don't see a field other than something called ODO TIME1

There are 4 odometer/timers available. You may need to upgrade firmware to get them all--i forget if they all were there from the start.
one of them can be reset with a button on the optional button interface. That'd be the one you want.

Good question on having a clock on the MXL dash - Ive never been able to get one on the MXL screen after initial startup and for sure once the engine is running. Peter Kraus weighed in on a thread on this topic months ago and we couldn't see a way to do it then. Really helpful to get a sense of where things are at waiting on the grid, or in a longer race.

Ha, Jerry! I did get a response back from Robbie a few minutes ago. He said: Time and date as in 2:43pm 12/11/17 is not possible yet. Elapsed Could be done using the time odometer but it will continue to run for as long as the unit is on. It can be reset in the counters section in RS3.
I asked him if a CAN button could reset it... Will relay the response, but I think the CAN buttons will take you to the MXL2 ODO reset page...

I shot Robbie an email. I think I have a solution with a small reconfigure of something. I'll let people know if we figure it out.

That was my first request. Not a timer but just a field with the correct or even UTC time.
