TLC Auto Detail | 911 (991.2) Targa Clear Guard Nano and Modesta | Northern, VA
Hello everyone! We recently had another gorgeous Porsche come through out shop for our new car protection services. This brand new 991.2 Targa rolled through our doors right after it was delivered to our client. The owner was looking to give his new car the best protection while not sacrificing the aesthetics. We agreed on a full front end paint protection film wrap with Clear Guard Nano, the most advance PPF on the market. To add to the protection and to ease future maintenance we would also be coating the paint, film, and wheels with coatings from Modesta. These coatings will provide many years of protection while also looking amazing!
After a full decontamination of the vehicle we machine polished the paint to remove some left over factory sanding marks and some light marring from the initial dealer wash. We then remove the front bumper, headlights, marker lights, and emblems in preparation for the fully custom paint protection film install.
Marker lights removed to allow the film to be wrapped into the openings. This gives a fully seamless appearance that will hold up better over time.
The headlights were fully removed to allow the film to be wrapped into the headlight openings for a clean install.
The film was also wrapped around the bumper edges while it was removed.
With the new clear side markers installed, you can see that there are no exposed edges of film that could build up with dirt and lift over time.
The vehicle was put up on our Ranger Quick Jack so that we could remove the wheels. We were going to be polishing and coating the painted brake calipers, inner wheel barrels, and wheel faces.
The calipers were polished and coated with Modesta BC-06 High Temp Wheel Coating.
The gloss black wheels already had a decent amount of swirls and water spots on the surface. We polished them to perfection prior to coating them, inside and out, with Modesta BC-06 High Temp Wheel Coating.
The wheels were then installed back on the car and torqued to the factory specs. The calipers and wheels really pop after being coated.
After the film was completed and the wheels were installed we applied Modesta BC-04 to the entire vehicle. It was then cured with IR lamps. The finished product is stunning, and the silver paint is just dripping with gloss.

Dave and his team did an excellent job. They take immense pride in their work. I am very happy with the finished product. I looked around at many installers, saw lots of examples of work done on various cars. TLC Auto Detail did an amazing job, wrapping nearly every possible edge. ClearGuard Nano to me is the best film out there - less orange peel, lots of clarity. And Modesta adds a great gloss. It's almost impossible to detect that there is film on the car. I highly recommend for anyone in the area.
