I wash my wheels first then discard that water in the bucket. Rinse the bucket thoroughly then get fresh soap and water. Keeps the road grime and sand from being ground into your paint from your filthy wheels.

"Moisturize" your door gaskets with bit of vaseline (available in autoparts stores) - your door will never freeze shut.

Keep your gas tank at least half full at all times. Cold weather causes condensation in the system, which can lead to fuel-line freeze-up and no-start conditions. Adding gasoline antifreeze every three to four fill-ups will also keep condensation under control.

I use an electric leaf blower to regularly remove dust off the cars during the winter months.

Use three car washing buckets when washing your car. some use the two bucket method but i use an extra bucket for innovation.

Regular application of a good rubber protectant on all the seals and exterior plastic saves big $$ down the road. Its much cheaper and less labor to protect parts from the elements than to replace. Those window and door seals get pricey.

If you do start your car during the winter months, make sure it gets up to working temperature before turning off the engine to burn off any moisture in the system. Make sure when the car is running that it is in a WELL ventilated area. Don't forget to take out any materials that were installed to discourage rodent's or other animals to enter sensitive areas.
