Default E92 M3 & Acura RDX by Concours Werkstatt

We were fortunate to have two nice cars to do Sunday, an Arctic White E92 M3 and a metallic grey Acura RDX. Both were in very good overall condition, but the M3 did have some significant swirling on the horizontal surfaces. The paint on the RDX was pretty swirl free, but had its share of paint transfers from car doors, plus more than its share of paint splatter from the road, both yellow and red. Anyway, both were straight forward with only a single step of polishing needed to get the surfaces crystal clear. No before pictures, but they wouldn't show much anyway as they were in good shape so there was no miracle transformation. The afters were quickies in the shade of the owner's home, so they fail to show just how wet the BMW's paint looked. Interiors are not pictured, but they were both cleaned with Woolite, Meg's IQD, and treated with Duragloss leather treatment.

Both cars were washed with ONR, then clayed, followed by polishing with Meg's MF cutting pads. We used D-300 on the M3 and HD UNO on the RDX. Both were topped with HD Poxy. No surprise how the UNO/Poxy brought clarity to the surface and really allowed the color of the metal flake to come through, but this was the first time that I had tried it on a non-metallic color. It won't be the last! The white paint looked like it was in a liquid state, ready to sheet off of the body. The tires and plastic trim were treated with Meg's Hyper Dressing at 3:1, wheels coated with Aquawax, and the tail pipes cleaned with P21S metal polishing soap and then polished with Optimum metal polish.

Thanks for looking.
