Default Now what (if anything)?

On Memorial Day I did a comprehensive cleaning and wax (wash, clay bar, wash, Klasse AIO, Klasse HGSG, Mother's Carnauba). The finish looks pretty good but I suspect the carnauba is gone by now even though the shine is still there. I was thinking about refreshing the wax - can I just wash and re-wax? Or do I need to strip the wax (Dawn Dish Soap), then re-apply the wax? If I strip the wax, is the sealant layer (Klasse HGSG) still intact, or do I need to reapply that, then wax? I'm not sure I need to do anything, but holiday weekends are good times for me to provide special attention to my car.

All advice is welcome!

Thanks,
Rudy

Rudy-you will no doubt get many differing inputs, but IMHO, wash and re-wax if you're pleased with the condition of the finish. As in not overly swirled etc. Dawn will remove the wax and I suspect the HGSG too.

Given you cleaned up the finish about a month ago, it probably doesn't need additional cleaning, unless it's been outside all this time.

Thanks to all for the advice - that's exactly what I wanted to hear, wash and re-wax. Last time I did it by hand, but this time I think I'll go with the PC and the blue LC pad. Spent some time playing with the black pad on my F-150 so now I think I'm ready to try it on my baby...

Thanks again everyone!

Rudy

the last step really can be done by hand or by machine, the benefit maybe only speed in applying.

for best results I always remove with a clean mf towel.

have fun!

Providing you don't use a high alkaline soap the sealant should be fine (polymers are detergent resistant) if the finish requires detailer's clay use a mild abrasive clay like Pinnile or Sonus and then proceed to apply a wax
