Default Girot's Garage products

Any commentary on how well these products are liked by the forum members? The catalog is a marketing phenom.

Most of the tools are available elsewhere and are overpriced. However, I was unable to find a similar product to their 3" orbital, which I purchased to use on my newly acquired Carrera. That works quite well on many spots on the car where a 6" won't fit without buffing trim, rubber, etc.

Most of the 'chemical' items they sell are reasonably priced and work very well. Their Speed Shine, wheel cleaner, clay, are all top notch. Plus, I have yet to find another product that works as well as their interior cleaner. Polishes and waxes - these aren't horrible but I've found other products that work better.

You're spot on that the catalog seems to be a self-proclaimed bible of car car. If you outfitted your detailing portfolio solely with products from Griots, you would have a number of quality products, you would pay too much, but they would all work.

Thumbs up to Griots products with a few exceptions. Their Spray On Bra is messy and not easy to remove. Their QD works well but it isn't exceptional.

I use their interior cleaner and their leather care on all of our cars. I also like their polishing pads which seem to have more bite than others I've used. Clay is very good and so is their undercarriage spray.

Overall very good products.

His prices might be a little on the high side, but it's all top quality. Speed shine is great

I am a newbie and their stuff is idiot proof.... unless to lift up on the polisher before it quits spinning. Live and learn.

I actually really like their core and basic procducts and am echoing others already posted:

Speed Shine
Clay
Wheel Cleaner
Car Wash

and I really like their Machine Polish 3

for wax... stay away from their Best of Show... the finish is nice, but its a major PITA to work with. P21s 100% Carnuba is the best I've used, and I love how easy it is to use.

I use quite a few of their products. The 3" random orbital is great for a lot of uses. I go elsewhere for polish and wax, but have liked the cleaning products, towels, etc a lot. I like the little touches like their choice of spray bottles, dispensers, etc.

Also, this is the best nozzle I have used. I use it for both the underbody wash and the general wash.

Their glass cleaner is for real, too. No residue!
