Thumbs down Zaio

Think I've had enough of this Zaio stuff. Waxed one car yesterday with Zaio and it is such a PITA to remove. Plus it leaves streaks that require even more buffing to remove.

Waxed another car with Rejex today and what a difference. It applies about the same as Zaio, but comes off much, much easier.

Think I'll order another bottle of Rejex.

If ZAIO its a PITA to remove or you are getting streaking you are applying too much or not properly working it in.

ZAIO and rejex are two different type of products. One is a pure sealant (rejex) and ZAIO is as it says an AIO type product.

Here are the instructions for using ZAIO from the zaino site:

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Shake well before using.

Thoroughly wash and dry vehicle as normal.

Apply Z-AIO to our #314 cotton applicator pad. Work Z-AIO into the surface, one section at a time, using firm motions, completing entire vehicle. Allow to dry.

Wipe residue, buffing to a super gloss with a high quality 100% soft cotton cloth or quality MF.

With an emulsifying cleaner and very mild abrasive, Z-AIO gently cleans and protects.
When using rejex all you do is wipe it on, let it "haze over" and remove.

With rejex you should wait 12 hours for the product to totally cure. ZAIO or any other zaino product is cured as soon as you remove it.

Zaio isn't a wax. It is a good chemical paint cleaner which does leave protection behind. If you are experiencing streaking with this product you are most likely misusing it.

If you are going to use it as sole product during a wash and wax, you should work a small drop into the paint with some pressure, you should have very little product to remove for final wiping. Sounds like you are using too much and should dull down the usage. Even I was unhappy with this product for quite some time as it can be a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it, you will set aside most products of it's genre, that being pre wax treatment. It's also fabulous on wheels and other non porous surfaces.
