Default Scratches in clear bra???

I have a venture shield clear bra.....I noticed that some bug marks leave a slight hazing on the clear bra...almost like an etching..... Is there a product that will polish it out??

I am not sure from the description if it is really a scratch or a chemical effect. If it is a scratch you might clean it and try a heat gun.

I did this on some minor scratches on my Ventureshield with very good results. as they say, YMMV . . . Just be patient and have a good light to see when the scratched surface goes smooth. It was pretty amazing . . .

edit: I have heard that this technique should not be tried on the multi-layer 3M Clearbra film, but Ventureshield is a single-layer film

Thumbs up Ditto

Many posters make general recommendations and unwittingly lead you down the wrong road. I have venture shield and find them to be very willing to take calls and give good advice (website is good too!). I wish everything worked as well as ventureshield. Please let us know when you get a satisfactory result.

Cheers

I use a mild car paint polish on it, comes out great, you should also clay it, just be careful of the edges, as they will pick up the clay & it will be hard to get it all out.

calling ventureshield is a good idea...DUH should have thought of that....

Anyway I tried using a mild polish with a "finishing" pad (LC black) and my porter cable on 5....its still there but much better than before......

All good advice. Most importantly, you have learned from your mistake. ALWAYS keep a good wax or paint sealant on the clear mask. Also, always wash off bugs and grime as soon as possible. Venture Shield does a great job of protecting against rock chips, but it's definitely not the most acid resistant product.
