Default How to clean yellowing alloy wheels?

My Audi rims have major yellowing on them that I have only ever been able to remove with a wax like alloy cleaner. This requires a ton of elbow grease and by the time I am done, my hands no longer work. Is there a spray or some easier method to get my wheels shiny silver again?

Have you tried a dedicated wheel cleaner like P21S or Meguiar's Wheel brightener?

This 'yellowing' is sometimes the after effect of using a product that contains acid and allowing it to dry.

Hence the advice to strip / repaint

Well, I ordered P21S gel yesterday and will try it in the spring. Hopefully that will help, otherwise I guess it is refinishing time.
