Default Longest lasting locally available wax?

Just curious.. i absolutley hate waxing my car and i generally do two body panels a week, so i am constantly 'rotating' the panels with fresh wax. Anyhow i am using the Meguiars liquid caranuba that literally lasts about a week before i dont get anymore 'beading' effect, even less when it rains. I do have the stuff in the metal can from Mother's also (California Gold) but it also dosent seem to last long. Anyone have anything else they have tried available at the local PepBoys that lasts any longer?

Try the Optimum spray wax. LOng lasting and super eay to use. I can wax a 911 in about 15 minutes and the great thing is that it's safe on glass and won't whiten up in cracks, emblems or stain trim.

Pick up a bottle of MEGUIARS NXT from Pep Boys, has a great shine and my experience is that it lasts well.

You don't need much either!

I also use it on my wife's Guard's Red Boxster - makes it a nice deep red again

Chris.

Techno-

I use NXT for its durability, also, remember that beading doesn't always mean that panel is "protected", a lot of waxes are still there even with no beading at all. Some companys make wax so it sheets rather than beads so it doesn't leave spots. Good luck!

NXT beads, and I honestly haven't tried Rejex. I think that Meguiar's #20/21 is very similiar to Rejex in that it's a synthetic polymer-and I have liked that a lot. Andy, are you layering Rejex w/ a carnuba on top for the look?

Sorry for the slow response...I have to check this forum more often!

No, not layering over Rejex this time around. Maybe I have no clue, but to me, the Rejex shine looks pretty good on it's own! Might look a little "fake" on darker colors, but on alpine white, it adds a nice shimmer to an otherwise "dull" color!

Here's another vote for NXT. After applied let it sit and dry for awhile before you buff it off. Zaino would give you the longest lasting shine but I'm too lazy.

I have heard you need to let these synthetic waxes cure or something of that matter, is that true? Heading out now to purchase a bottle. Thanks agian.

Techno,

You've gotta give them time to set up, around 30 min or so. Good luck!

Love the NXT, have stopped using all the others since! It also is great for taking off rubber marks from the track.
