Yes it does if it is a carnauba based wax. The cleaning agents in the washer fluid will strip wax. I highly recommend distilled water to be placed in the washer reservoir instead. As long as you don't allow the bugs and such to dry on the windshiled the water alone should clean the residue off.

Keep in your car a nice clean MF window towel for emergencies

Well, that will work in Texas, but what about here in NJ where it's cold outside right now....

Hello,

Yeah freezing weather can be a real PIA when it comes to windshield washing. There is something though you can add to the water, a natural ingredient, that will help melt ice but not affect your wax but the name of it had slipped my feeble mind!

I would be sealing your car with a sealant rather than wax anyways as they are more durable. If I remember what ingredient it is I'll post it up.

yes it does. 99% of windshild cleaners contain varying percentages of alcohol and various suffactant additives. If spilled onto a waxed or painted surface and not removed right away it can streak the wax particularly if used at full strength.

I dillute my windshield cleaner way down. 1 part cleaner to 5 parts water...never straight from the bottle.
