I will try the esoteric solution as well. Ironically, after reading so many of your posts, I decided to buy the Griots glass cleaner, and it did a very nice job on my windshield. As of yesterday afternoon, I don’t have a glass problem at all, because after moving my car 6 inches back on the car lift (to give my wife some more room to walk around), later that day I forgot to put the car back, and upon raising the lift toward the ceiling, the windows, now in the wrong location were crushed by the garage door. So now we have two less windows that need cleaning. One stunning explosion and presto! The Streaks are gone!

What matters too is your towel. I either use the Griot’s PFM window cleaning towel which I find to be the best or Rag Company waffle weave

I’ve used stoners invisible glass in the past too and it’s fine. Griot’s just has left things less streaky for me.
Took your advice and finally made progress on the windshield. Also got detergent and towels. Thanks!

@Boss_Angeles that is a bit excessive for cleaning window, yes? I mean now you have to sweep stuff up off the floor and vacuum little bit and bobs out of the car.

All humor aside, that's a bummer.

I’ve come to the recent conclusion that even the cheapest stuff you can get at CVS works equally as well as a branded $20 bottle. It all boils down to the rag/towel that you use, and making sure it’s a lint free version. Another tip, try clay baring your windows once a year, paired with an iron remover. This will help reset the surface.

I have found not all distilled waters are the same. Wife makes Colloidal silver from distilled water and the results with some batches of distilled water result in a cloudy appearance. Just a heads up that bad results with this method could be related to the water.
