Vikings's Porsche 992- Paint correction, PPF, Nano coating, and Tint
The 992s are rolling into GP and this was the first one. Porsche has hit another one out of the park and we thoroughly enjoyed working on this Carrera S
Typical Delivery the way we like it
New-Car prep
We rinse the mitt after each panel to flush out the dirt before dunking back into clean soap bucket
Dry using soft and plush microfiber towel that's clean for every wash
Paint decontamination is done chemically AND physically. Old-school clay still is our preferred method as we can hear and feel the impurities
PPF Prep and Installation
While the paint correction is in process, our techs are busy customizing and printing patterns. Here's an example of the 992 front bumper. Areas in yellow will be the extensions. As you can see, the stock pattern, top left, has very few areas of "recommended" extensions. Our pattern, lower right, is near fully extended for a true semi-custom fitment with minimal trimming needed. This provides the accuracy and consistency of a plotted pattern, with similar fitment of a "custom" installation
Once paint correction is complete, this 992 needed minimal, we begin PPF installation by removing OEM stone guard that provides very little protection
Using XPEL DAP, we have two options...seam or seamless near washer nozzle. We opt for the seamless pattern that we've customized to our spec
Wrapped edges prior to tuck. It takes nearly 2-3X in labor to wrap nearly all edges...hence the cost difference between most installations
By wrapping most edges, we have a more sustainable product and much better to look at as well
Custom mirrors
Custom headlights...992 headlights are a bit more challenging than previous generations
Completed project
Thank you for checking this project out and please don't hesitate to share your thoughts or questions
