Tried search and didn't find anything. What's the best way to remove the stick-on wheel weights? I have them inside the wheel and also on the lip of the wheel, these are the Cup 2 wheels. I'm hoping there's an easier way to remove them other than a fishing line.

Try heat, it will soften the adhesive

 

 

I "cut" through it with an old plastic gift card. Then I remove the glue residue with denatured alcohol or concentrated orange D-limonene.

 

Spray some WD-40 on them, gently apply some heat from a heat gun or hair dryer and use a plastic painter spatula to softly pry them off.

 

Do these suggestions remove the residue? That is typically a pain for me...

Thanks for all the replies! As suggested, I used a hair dryer and removed easily with a plastic spatula. Last time I did this, I used Goo Gone and that's where it took awhile to remove completely. I did try Oil Flo solvent cleaner and it easily removed the adhesive. All in all, I got it done in no time.

 

Just tried this! Liquid wrench and a plastic razor blade and black latex gloves for friction (and hand protection) - did not need to remove the wheel. It dissolves the tape in 2-3 minutes! - cleaned up little residue left with a squirt of WD-40. Works like a charm
