in praise of Zaino...
Used Zaino products this weekend and can't believe the results. I have always detailed my own cars and tried most products by now Zymol, Malm's, etc. The shine and finish the Zaino wax and polish left on my 1988 Porsche 928S4 is absolutely awesome. The paint looks brand new with a deep, rich, glossy appearance. I have no affiliation with the company but I will never use another product again. It applies easily, drys quickly and makes miracles as far as I am concerned. I used a wax(Z-2) an accelerator(ZFX) and a gloss enhancer spray(Z-6). Phenomenal results!

Yeah a lot of people LOVE Zaino. I personally prefer 'Klasse All In One' followed by a coat of 'Klasse Sealant Glaze' and toped off with a coat of P21s Carnauba Wax. Good stuff give it a try when you run out of zaino

Abby,
The paint was in pretty good shape, one of the PO's(there were 3) must of had it re-sprayed at some point because there is some overspray underneath the car. That being said there was still a dramatic difference in appearance after using Zaino and I had tried most brands( Malm's, Liquid Glass, Meguairs, Zymol to name a few).

where to....
You can go to Zainobros.com to have it shipped. I went to a distributor in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. for my supply. The company is located in central Jersey.

I've used Blitz, and tomorrow I'm having a detailer do the whole Zaino process on my car-I've always been skeptical, it sounds like snake oil to me. That said, this guy has been recommended to me by someone who I deeply respect. I'm paying a small fortune, but he's been busy doing Enzo's for Ferrari, and yesterday was finishing up a GT-3! I'll talk about my results on Sunday-it's a 12 hour job for this guy to go through every step.
I'm hoping to show off the car at the Hershey 968 and Swap Meet-if anyone is going this car oughto gleam from far away!

I agree 100%, I've been using Zaino for 5 years now and after spending hundreds of dollars on everything else, this offers the best shine and durabilty. After a nasty winter and many car washes my 02 BMW finish looks better than a new one. I just bought an 01 996 and washed it with dawn to remove the old wax, used a clay bar on the entire car and applied a few coats of Z2 and the results are stunning. You can buy Zaino at Zainostore.com .It may even be a good salad dressing!!!!!!!!!

Rockitman,
Looks Great! It's hard to believe some people still use "wax". I love the finish on your GT, it looks wet and I'm sure it blows away other cars with the same color. Maybe we need a Zaino party and we can invite Sal Zaino as guest of honor!

Zaino has a terrific product line. But, I sometimes just don't have the time that is required for the beautiful results Zaino gives.
When I say "product line", I mean ALL of their stuff. The leather cleaner and treatment is better than Lexol IMHO, and their tire (rubber) gloss is also the best because it doens't leave the tires looking shiny like patent leather (which, in case you hadn't noticed, isn't the way tires are supposed to look).
