Yes, my cars front end was a little wicked too. My 964 is better planted and faster anyway so next time it is coming. Not sure it would have made it up the gravel road at the track?

I don't know, as alluded to above, it was pretty windy, and some of those roads were marginal. Couple that with 130mph, and things are bound to get dicey. My car is pretty low, and it made it up with no issues, I'd think your 964 would've gone ok.

Loaded, don't tell me you were having a hard time keeping up with the S4.

BTW, I want to apologize for running up the rear end so quickly on the BMW at the entrance to the straight. I wan't trying to pass, just testing out my turning caps and learning the car.

I don't think he had any problems. We never lost him along the way.

I am not sure if you should apologize. You probably got a nice chip on your front end from doing it (hopefully you have a clear bra). I couldn't believe the amount of debris flying up on the parade lap. I wouldn't want to run close to anyone until after the track gets cleaned up.

I talked to several people about the trip at the PCA happy hour. There is a lot of interest from others in making a trip out. I am starting to work on a tour day in February to March, possible the weekend following the February DE at MSR. Expect the track to be clean. Most of the curbing will be down. It will all be smooth and low profile based on the AMA requirements, not the bumpy stuff used in some areas at MSR. Most of the runoff will be completed. Best of all, the entrance road and pit lane are expected to be paved. The final topcoat is scheduled to be laid down in March.

I wish I could have made it. I would have been the only 944 Turbo apparently. I did get the suspension back together and got an alignment at RUF on Friday, but I had a small coolant leak which I didn't want to put in front of anyone on the track. So, definately count me in on the next one.

You're not the first person to say that...It has the "shark" reference for my 928. Many of the 928 guys on Renn have some kind of shark in their avatar, I thought I'd be a little different. I should go back to this one:

I can vouch for that. I had the pleasure of riding in Steven's 964 yesterday and it is wickedly fast (its got more than your average performance mods). And its absolutely gorgeous too!

Hi, I just graduated from Kettering University and moved into my dads place in McKinney and NEED to get involved in the track scene here. I will be keeping a close eye on when I can get out and look forward to meeting some of you soon.

Sean, check out the upcoming DE's if you want some track time. You have multiple choices such as Driver's Edge or the Maverick PCA region DE's. I think the next one is February 3.
