SW Chicago Detailer
I've just removed worn ppf from the front end of my 2011 Carrera S and would like to get the entire car buffed to remove swirls in the black paint. Has anyone used or could recommend a detailer in the southwest Chicago suburbs? I live in Orland Park.

For a ‘cheap’ job of maybe $200-$250, I’ve heard that the Porsche dealer of Napleton (Westmont) does a good detail job. I cannot believe a dealer could do a good job, and some say that that it’s impossible, but some swear by it.
However, for a Level 1 job, maybe $900, if you want really good work, then Lustr Detail in Palatine is the way to go...
There might be many more shops somewhere in between these two for cost. With paint work, you get what you pay for in terms of time spent, assuming they know what they are doing. There’s no way to cut corners. The dealer will just go fast and get many swirl marks out and the car will look good. With Lustr, most cars that haven’t been beat on will probably come out looking almost perfect. Only a Level 2 is needed for badly beat-on Cars, and that starts at $1,000...
I have a black car, and I daily my car, so I will never go with a high dollar $1000 job. Black paint just doesn’t hold up.
For those that drive only in good weather, a $1000 job might last for years.
