Default how do you wash the roof of your cayenne?

i am 6’ 2” w 38 inch arms and i cannot reach the center - so this has to be a common issue. i was going to buy a washer thing w an extending pole but thought i would ask what people are using first.

I use a 12 inch step stool for that as well as for the center of the windshield.

I use a small 24 inch ladder that allows me to get wherever I need to on the Cayenne. I don't want to use a wanded brush. I want to use my microfiber pad...hence the ladder.

Crack open the back or front door, stand on the door sill and use your wash mitt/pad. I do the same when I dried the roof.

You can easily wash and dry the door sills and frames if you want to, while you have the door(s) open.

Lower suspension to sport+ and you’ll easily reach the entire top.

That’s a good idea if one has air suspension, will try it next time.

Thomas, you have a Coupe, so your Cayenne has a glass roof. Coat it with a hydrophobic agent like a car window treatment (RainX, etc.). Then, simply rinse it with clean, pressurized water and the roof will be clean.

I have one of those 18” high and about 3’ long steps but it’s still in storage until I finish getting the garage cleaned up so presently I use one of those extendable wand wash mit, works pretty well for me. I only use it for the roof and the first pass on the windshield but I’m quite happy with it.

Very similar to this:

How do you dry the roof then, if you can’t fully access or see it?

I’m 6’2” so I can see it just reaching the middle with the wash mitt is difficult. To dry I start with the blower and finish off with a big microfiber towel, I get the vast majority of the water off.

I am 6’ and I try to stay off ladders now so I use this Girot’s wash mop on an extension pole after a prerinse and foam with the P/W. I use it on the roof, windshield and hood, works well, then change over to their wash mitt. I use a blower and microfiber towel to dry also.

At 6'4" and 37" arms, I can just reach enough from both sides to completely get the entire roof line on my 2022 Turbo GT. I was also able to do this on my 2022 GTS SUV body style, too.
