I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere on the forum, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
I wondering if anyone has experience with the engine auto start/stop memory modules for sale on Amazon and Aliexpress. I wish the car would remember my last setting for the engine auto start/stop when the car is restarted, and there seems to be some plug and play options in the $100 range. I would appreciate anyone with direct experience with these. Thanks.
Up to 2019 you can kill a/s/s with a Diag tool. It’s in the E3 coding thread.
I agree except I was able to do it on our '21 S with Thinkdiag so it is probably possible up through 2023. There are two lines of code in the DME which are changed, maybe a 3rd line (I never got around to determine if the third line of code is necessary). It is posted in the E3 coding thread. I don't remember the details. I have had no s/s icon on the dash for the past 8 months and no autostop or other problems experienced. Also of note, the coding is different on the 9Y0, 992 and 970 interestingly.
Thats a nice find @ThomasWShea !! I had a Cete AS controller on my Macan Turbo, quality stuff, made in Germany, I would opt for this over anything else. It does however say some recabling may be required. Not P&P.
Yes, I know you can use Sport Mode every time you get in, and I have programed the diamond button for start stop, and I have read about using some diagnostic tools removing the auto start/stop function. But I was specifically curious about the memory modules in my original post which will "remember" your last selection.
I have ordered one on Amazon for $55 (search Amazon for "Lirun One Button Start Stop Entry Module for Porsche Cayenne 2018-2022".
The Amazon listing says it is made by "Three T".
It is coming from China (2 weeks), but once I receive it, I will report back.
Again, if anyone has any experience with these memory modules for auto start stop, please chime in.
Thanks
Lee

I can't comment on this particular model, but I have installed similar on 2 different Audi's and they work flawlessly. The Audi module is P&P and they install on the radio harness. Just need to remove the radio and plug in. takes about 5 min. From the description of this one on aliexpress looks like it is installed in the drivers side dash end panel. I don't see any specific instructions tho.
